When referring to the general quality, 'kindness' is uncountable and does not take 'a'.

While 'kindnesses' (plural) exists to mean 'kind acts', it is much more natural and common to use the uncountable form 'kindness' when thanking someone.

  • I appreciate your kind.

    I appreciate your kindness.

Use the noun form 'kindness', not the adjective 'kind', after a possessive adjective like 'your'.

  • He is full of kindnesses.

Use the uncountable form when describing someone's general character or nature.

Don't confuse with

Politeness is about following social rules and manners; kindness is about genuine care and generosity.
