  • Người Việt thường dùng từ 'đam mê' (passion) thay thế cho 'say mê' trong giao tiếp hàng ngày, nhưng 'fascination' mang sắc thái tò mò và bị thu hút mạnh mẽ về mặt tâm trí hơn là sự cống hiến mãnh liệt của 'passion'.

Etymology

From Latin 'fascinatio(n-)', from the verb 'fascinare' (to bewitch), from 'fascinum' (spell, witchcraft). The meaning evolved from literal bewitchment to a strong attraction in the late 17th century.
